    This leading freight and logistics company, for which codeSource is the ongoing software development partner, grew through acquisition, taking on a New Zealand freight and logistics business along with the software platform that business had built for itself.

    The Challenge

    The acquired platform had been built on a low-code/no-code stack (Microsoft Power Apps and Power Automate), and the freight company needed a new development partner to take over its support and ongoing evolution at short notice, while the acquired business was simultaneously being migrated into its own systems. codeSource had to get up to speed on an unfamiliar codebase quickly, resolve existing application and database errors and deliver three major upgrades within a tight timeframe – all without disrupting a live operational platform.

    The Solution

    codeSource stood up a dedicated team quickly, completed a full handover from the outgoing development team and took the platform from an unstable starting position to a stabilised environment. From that stable base, codeSource delivered three major upgrades in quick succession to support the migration into the client’s environment, then moved into an ongoing support role for the platform.

    The work combined Microsoft Power Platform support, application stabilisation, database remediation and rapid bespoke software development so the client could keep a live operational platform running while the acquired business was integrated into its wider systems.
